A Rainy Day…

I was sitting on the balcony,

Enjoying the site of a rainy day,

Water filled the roads and lanes,

Blocked the traffic and jammed the way.

What a pity I thought as I saw,

Seeing the water level rise,

Staying indoors on a rainy day,

Was it a decision made wise?

Heavy winds blowing all around,

The lightning and the thunder sound,

Vehicles stuck in the gushing water,

Trying to make its way on  the ground.

I stared at the rains and thought to myself,

What am I doing here?

Should I break into freedom and enjoy the rain.

Or stay inside and wait for another year.
